About Us

Pilmore Equestrian is a family endevor to revitalize and reimagine a community equestrian center. During a time when the Southern California horse community is shrinking Pilmore is embarking on a journey to save the equestrian lifestyle for urban dwelling horse enthusiats of all levels.  Our journey started with an idea and a need.  As horse owning residents of Lakewood we were motivated to see the community equestrian center not only remain but thrive.  

In June of 2024 The City of Lakewood decided the equestrian community would be better served by entrusting the city's asset to equestrians, to meet that objective they put out a nationwide call for interested operators to invest in and run the LEC.  After fine tuning our vision we developed a comprehensive proposal with a roadmap to breath new life into the beloved community treasure. We were deeply honored when the City Council voted, on December 10, 2024, to accept their staff's recommdation and award a 20 year lease to Pilmore Equestrian, LLC and allow us, on January 1, 2025,  to begin the journey of bringing our vision to life.  We are excited to share the results with local residents and equestrians alike!
